Oh we love Winter in the Northeast suburbs. Christmas is great! Its fun to watch a three-year-old become completely over stimulated to the point where she reverses her definition of happiness without warning. But we still managed to catch a few photos of the kids smiling with their new gifts:
Another great holiday tradition: The Christmas Card Photo Shoot. If there was ever a Nobel Prize for Patience... Out of 15,000 taken these 2 are the best:
Hmmm...and then your wife signs the entire family up for the lead role at the 700 people-in-attendance Christmas Eve service at the church:
And there's nothing wrong with being holed up in the house for 90 days of freezing temperatures. The kids especially love it because they can play with their parents every waking moment:

You reach the halfway point when Charles' birthday arrives:
