I used to go to bars all of the time. That habit has slowed down a bit
in recent years. One thing hasn't changed though: I still like to
drink. What does this mean for you? It means that there won't be many bar
write-ups in this section, but I will try to let you know when I find a good
one.
 | Maker's (3rd Avenue & 28th, NYC): I guess you could call Maker's a
descendant of Alva (one of my all time favorite bars). I used to go to
Alva because of the awesome bartenders: Rob, Michael and Chris.
Well, Chris always had the desire to open his own place and he finally did in
December 2001. I have to admit that 3rd Avenue is not my favorite place
to grab a drink, but I knew that Maker's wouldn't let me down. Maker's
is a drinker's bar: good drinks and awesome music. That's it...and
that is all you need! It's not trendy or chic. No food (yet).
Just have a serious drink, listen to some KISS (God of Thunder), and play a
little pool. Give it a try. |
