I haven't been to too many hotels in Seattle, but this is what I know:
 | The Elliott: you won't believe it's a Hyatt! The luxury of a Four Seasons and the
atmosphere of a W Hotel...a great combo! The lobby is cool and the rooms are awesome
(remote control black-out shades and huge bathrooms). Check it out if you have some
cash ($$$$) |
 | Four Seasons Olympic: the most disappointing of all Four Seasons; the hotel and
its lobby are beautiful, but the rooms could use a major face-lift ($$$$) |
 | W Hotel Seattle: wait...are we in New York? Everyone seems to act like it (but not look
like it!); the rooms are great (especially the beds) and the attitude is better than most
W Hotels; the restaurant is a downer ($$$$) |
 | Hotel Monaco: just like every other Hotel Monaco...kind of cool ($$$) |
OK, there are two other places I want to try. I don't know the names, so if you do,
please let me know:
 | It might be called the Lakeside Lodge, but every room has a balcony overlooking Lake
Washington (each room used to come with a fishing pole, too) and they let you
"raid" the fridge in the kitchen every night! ($$) |
 | It sounds like Snow-Qual-Me; it is an inn/spa about 45 minutes outside Seattle perched
right above a waterfall (the "snow-qual-me" falls); very zen-like with beautiful
rooms and a great restaurant! ($$$$) |
