OK, for some weird reason I think we will see this section start to grow more rapidly than others.  I truly hope that I find many good restaurants, but it's hard to compete with my Weber (and now my Big Green Egg)!

Places to go:

bulletRebeccas:  best restaurant in Greenwich! absolutely wonderful food perfectly executed in a contemporary style; it is impossible to make up your mind with the menu; I loved the black truffle risotto, the lamb, the rabbit and the Dover sole; don't miss the hericot verts/artichoke/truffle oil salad;  [Glenville] ($$$$)
bulletPalomino:  Very solid newcomer in Riverside; love the mac and cheese and the snapper; great bartenders; a little pricey [Riverside]($$$$)
bulletNapa & Co: As good as it gets in Stamford; great cheese plate; very slow service though [Stamford] ($$$$)
bulletTortilla Factory in Portchester:  I don't remember the name of this place; it is a tortilla factory that serves some of the best, most authentic tacos I have had; don't forget the radishes and limes! [Portchester] ($$)
bulletF.I.S.H.:  If you can find it, you will be rewarded with some of the best seafood in this area...and the best dark n' stormy [Portchester] ($$$)
bulletGaia: don't let the "bottled food" distract you...it's actually quite good; try the mac n' cheese (and anything else in a jar) [Greenwich ($$$)
bulletAlba: A cheesy Portchester Italian, but the Caesar Salad makes it worth it; good chicken parm too [Portchester] ($$$)
bulletMeli Melo: great place to stop for soup and a croque madame on the Avenue [Greenwich] ($)
bulletBoathouse Cafe: A fun, casual spot in Old Greenwich; on weekends the bar is three-deep; great cocktails, simple, good food; I haven't tried the fried Ipswitch clam roll, but it looks amazing; a lot of fun [Old Greenwich]($$)
bulletSwanky Franks:  Can you stomach a deep fried hot dog with fixins of your choice? I don't think the oil penetrates the casing...just makes it crispy; great with bacon and American cheese [Norwalk] ($)
bulletPierangelo: another great "neighborhood" Italian; a small place with an excellent menu, great preparation, and great wines [Greenwich] ($$$)
bulletThe Restaurant at Rowayton Seafood: Great seafood, cool bar, awesome atmosphere; and it over looks a river; all of the seafood here is really fresh, prepared simply and wonderfully good! [Rowayton] ($$$)
bulletL'Escale: a Provencal restaurant in the new Delamar Hotel; the atmosphere was a little rough, but the food was outstanding; the pan-seared foie gras in a pea broth with bacon was amazing; double-cut pork chops, rack of lamb, and all the seafood was also first rate; although the portions were generous, order some of the side dishes, especially the fries and the artichokes; don't save room for dessert...it was disappointing. [Greenwich] ($$$)
bulletElm Street Oyster House: incredibly fresh, well prepared seafood in a mellow setting; I never order tuna, but I always will here! [Greenwich] ($$$)
bulletBarcelona: great tapas, especially the chicken chorizo, the chickpea puree, and the calamari sauted with garlic and pepper; the sangria was fantastic; the mixed grill looked good, but I didn't try it; the crowd was starting to get brutal around 10 on a Saturday night [Greenwich] ($$)
bulletJean Louis: truly excellent French dining experience; the main courses seem to be a little better than the appetizers, but everything was amazing; try the sweetbreads; great wine list! [Greenwich] ($$$$)
bulletApplausi: great neighborhood Italian; awesome food; friendly service; and, the best osso buco I've had maybe ever! [Old Greenwich] ($$$)
bulletBoxcar Cantina: pretty solid Mexican in a fun family setting; a little upscale with Niman Ranch meats; try the soft tacos [Greenwich] ($$)
bulletBaang: way too loud, but they do Asian fusion a helluva lot better than China Grill (not saying much I know); everything we tried was great! [Riverside] ($$$)
bulletEl Cayote Flaco: Some serious food that embodies Hecho en Mexico [Portchester] ($$)
bulletLe Figaro Bistro de Paris: Greenwich Ave Parisian bistro is great if you catch it on the right night; make sure to sit in the back room [Greenwich]($$$)
bulletWild Ginger: not nearly as good as its namesake in Seattle, but still serves up some fresh, innovative sushi and other Japanese fusion dishes; definitely worth a try [Glenville] ($$$)
bulletMediterraneo: solid Italian/Mediterranean food; excellent fish dishes and awesome desserts! ($$$) [Greenwich]
bulletFonda La Paloma: you will not find any atmosphere, but you will definitely find some solid traditional Mexican food [Cos Cob] ($$)
bulletThe River Cat: Probably better know for its bar scene than its food, but the burger looks damn good! [Rowayton] ($$$)

Warning:

bulletTelluride: The food isn't bad; they try hard; maybe I just can't get used to the suburban mark-up on food; I don't think I would return to this place though... [Stamford] ($$$$)
bulletPolpo: not so bad; the atmosphere was great (visually), but the food was simply OK and it was way over-priced; the wine list had nothing affordable; some of the waiters were great, but the seasoned vets were rude and rushed; many, many 50+ wealthy guys with thirty-something trophy babes ($$$$)
bulletValbella:  ugh; avoid this Soprano's casting-call experience; the decor is like a bad wedding; the waiters should have never left their valet parking jobs; and the food blows; a mere $25 for that Italian favorite, penne a la vodka ($$$$)
bulletAuthentic BBQ:  The place looks cool; the menu makes you drool; but the BBQ is no better than average; same with the sides; its surprising that the folks from Kneaded Bread disappoint here [Portchester] ($$$)
